Verner Elementary Honors Veterans

Verner Elementary honored veterans with a special program.  Veterans were invited to enjoy coffee and donuts.  They were then welcomed into an assembly where 5th Graders sang patriotic songs.  Other grade level students shared poems.  Students were also able to recognize their relatives or friends by name during the program.

Haley Day presented at the Alabama Association for Gifted Children (AAGC) Conference in Mobile.  More than 60 gifted educators from across the state came to her presentation: Design, Innovate, Create - Integrating 3D Printing Into the Gifted Classroom.

5th Grade's Mad Scientist Day

Fifth grade had Mad Scientist Day on October 31st. The students reviewed the scientific method and math standards.
