Greetings from the PTA President

Dear Verner Parents, Teachers, and Supporters,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Verner Elementary! Whether you’re new to our Verner family, returning as a student, or are a cherished member of our staff, we’re thrilled to kick off the year with all of you. As your PTA President, I want to take a moment to share how much we appreciate the support and enthusiasm you bring to our community. The PTA board has been working diligently all summer to prepare for the amazing year ahead!

One of the most impactful ways you can support the PTA is through volunteering. We’ll be sending out a volunteer flyer soon that will allow you to indicate your areas of interest. We need help with a variety of events throughout the year, including Grandparents Day, Spring Fling, Book Fair, Clubs, and so much more! Whether you have a little time to give or a lot, your involvement makes a big difference.

Another important way to support our PTA is by joining the Verner Investment Program (VIP). This annual contribution helps us ensure that your child won’t need to participate in traditional fundraising activities like selling door-to-door. With a suggested donation of $150 per child, you can directly contribute to essential resources and services that benefit our entire school community. Of course, any amount is welcome and appreciated—it’s an investment in our children's future!

Your generous VIP donation helps fund crucial programs and services, including:

  • Classroom Grants
  • Teacher Appreciation and Support
  • Art and Music Program Support
  • Playground/Grounds Maintenance
  • Spring Fling
  • New Library Books
  • Clubs
  • 100% Funding for Library Aide
  • Accelerated Reader Program, Reading Awards, and so much more!

I want to personally thank our dedicated teachers and staff for their hard work and preparation over the summer. Your commitment to our students is truly inspiring, and I’m honored to serve as your PTA President this year. Together, I know we will accomplish incredible things for our kids at "The V."
